This series just keeps gathering steam. In this third installment, the group of kids we've been following, all of whom have enhanced powers, start a secret training program aimed to determine whether they'll make the final cut. And Janis has some questions: do they really have a choice, and do the people running the program intend to use the teens for good or ill? Interspersed with all of the challenges the kids are facing are flashbacks to 1961 where we see an earlier pair of enhanced humans living in fear as members of their group are being hunted and murdered by some unknown assailant. As the book unfolds, we see how pieces from the backstory from 1961 tie in with several mysteries in the kids' era. What I love about this book is how the author combines a mix of suspense, terror, and action with a cast of wonderful characters and moments off near heart-breaking sweetness.Product details

X Gen is one of my favorite series - I was so disappointed when they finished. Wish the author would come up with some more!
This one barely slows down as the action really gets going. Janis has her doubts and another member starts to reveal his feelings for her. Scott might lose her. It all comes down to an adrenaline rush finish.
I liked every one of the series that I have read so far. I am looking forward to reading the next addition as soon as I get the time. The twists and turns of these characters is very compelling and thought out. Great Reads
Great read, this one is the 3rd in a trilogy, interesting, thrilling, mysterious sci-fi with a bit of disturbing political entendre'. Anything is possible. The deeper into the story I got the more I thought not for very young adults...
This book was great especially the last few chapters. My only gripe is in the alternate time line chapters. They could have been much more compressed. I figured out what the twist was within the second alt chapt.
Again like with the first 2 I appreciate the spelling/grammar/wrong word spelled right that plagues most indie releases. I caught a couple but not enough to turn me off.
Love the concept and (as an 80s child) the time line. Can't weight for book 4
This 3rd book in the series was good - a nice continuation of the story, but just somehow not as satisfying for me as the first two. Maybe because it looks like the author is setting up a love triangle and I hate those types of story lines... I did enjoy learning about the first Champion team though...guess I'll check out the next book and see from it if I'll read the rest.
All of our favorite characters are back. A team of enhanced teens are invited to join a black ops government unit. Having come to grips with their powers, they learn to control
them, with help from seasoned mentors.
Good character development, interesting storyline. I recommend reading the first two books in the XGeneration series as well.
I enjoyed the split-time aspect of this book, A lot of my questions were answered. We learn about what happened to the prior group of Champions.
