The characters were poorly developed. The writing very juvenile. The characters acted like high school kids instead of adults. The book started off with a little promise, but then went down hill fast. There was so much reputation and so many errors that I didn't even bother reading the other stories. I got so frustrated and confused trying to make sense of some of it that I just threw in the towel and deleted the whole thing from my Kindle. I will NOT be reading this author again. Oh, and all those folks who gave it 4 and 5 stars, obviously you got the book for free or are friends with the author. Not worth my time.Product details

A good storyline, however it started out slow for me and I found myself wanting to skip pages but I pushed foward and made it to the end....I liked the characters and how they are both struggling with moving foward in the direction of romance and love.I feel that the story could have been deeper and the chemistry between the characters could have been stronger but over all not a bad quick read!

This book caught my attention right away as I am a big hockey fan. I was a little disappointed that the story line didnt follow hockey as much as the players themselves. However, as this is a love story the base of the story was writen ok. The story did drag out a little and I felt it could have had more to it. There was some errors in the writing but that is what the ARC team is there to help with as well. The over all of the book was enjoyable. Thank you for the novel.
I voluntarily received this book. Whether it was free or not the author still wrote a good, romance story. I guess that is why some people are authors and the rest are readers. Readers may put the book down anytime they wish and never pick it up again. I thought it was a good read and though most lover stories are along a similar path, the characters are loosely based on what happens in real life and this book was no exception.
Story starts out good, I was quickly invested in the feelings of both of the main characters and the overall storyline was really good. Unfortunately I almost quit reading several times & had to force myself to finish it because the story just seemed to drag on. Plus there were times where I felt like I was reading about high schoolers who were supposed to be adults. Then there was the grammar... So many places you could tell the auto correct assumed the wrong word, or it's just misspelled altogether. It drives me crazy when I have to pause my reading to figure out what the author is actually trying to say. I wanted to like this book, I really did, & I hate leaving bad reviews... but honestly if you don't like your own books enough to read them yourself (& correct your mistakes) then don't publish them.

I also read the second book "Seal's Baby" and while it was a little better I still would have only rated it 3 stars. Again with the grammar! I almost passed on it but I felt in the mood for a secret baby story so went ahead. Considering that baby is in the title you'd think that is be a major part of the story, but nope. She doesn't find out she's pregnant until about 90% through the story & they're back together & living HEA pretty quick after that.
I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy of this book and truly enjoyed it. I couldn't stop reading it. You have Miles the captain of the Minnesota hockey team who doesnt date because he was burned by a girl who only wantes him for his fame. Then you have Danielle who doesnt date either because ahe was burned by a guy who apparently thought they were just a hookup and nothing more. Danielle leaves in San Diego and goes to Minnesota to visit her family for the holidays and there she hangs out with her sister Cynthia who is visiting from Boston. Cynthia is the favorite because she is studying to become a doctor like her parents. Danielle is studying to be a 3rd grade teacher. Once Danielle arrives her and her sister go shopping because Danielle has no winter clothes made for Minnesota. After shopping they go out to eat and run into Miles and his friend Sean. Her sister pushes Danielle to give Miles her number because she wants to meet a teammate of his. Danielle makes up a story that intrigues him and things take off from there. However can this work between them if Danielle lives in San Diego and Miles lives in Minnesota? You need to read it to find out.
